Sessions with Cassie

During our sessions several techniques will be utilized. In my experience it's all about finding what works for your pain in your body. Below are some general descriptions of the type of work I incorporate during our time together. That said, if there is a specific style session you are looking for, we can make that happen. My goal is to help you reach your goal.

Connective Tissue Release

Picture
The Rossiter System® is a two-person connective tissue release modality. The powerful addition of active client participation coupled with the proprietary body-wide “Locking” of tissue provides astounding, instantaneous results for mobility restoration and pain relief. It goes directly to the source of the problem (tight connective tissue) and unwinds the restrictions causing your problems.  Tightness eases, blood flows, nerves communicate.  Your muscles and joints regain free movement.

Floor work, as I like to call it, is a systematic approach to deep myofascial stretching. This modality can improve range of motion while relieving the source of pain (often times in one appointment). This technique is a great addition to any bodywork program or session and is a great approach to treating clients within a recovery/athletic setting. By using the foot to strategically anchor adhesions the practitioner can use their weight to facilitate tissue release. This technique can be done anywhere with the client fully clothed and doesn't require a massage table.
Connective tissue work is a natural solution to regain mobility, remove pain and return to the life you love - pain free.
Most clients see results in three sessions or less. That being said the longer an issue has been present, the longer it may take to heal.

Active Isolated Stretching

The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a stretching technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. More importantly, AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes. What does this mean you ask? AIS helps achieve optimal flexibility and restore full range of motion. This technique can be combined with your maintenance routine and used for injury recovery and prevention.  It's great to way to incorporate assisted stretching into your treatment plan and take the technique home with you to gain full flexibility, stability and function in your body. Read more about AIS here.

Therapeutic Massage

A combination of techniques, including relaxation massage, deep tissue manipulation, trigger point therapy and stretching are integrated to create a treatment tailored specifically for you. Massage can effectively relieve chronic pain and tension while being thoroughly relaxing.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping moves out old blood and brings in new blood. Color comes to the skin surface with stationary and glide cupping. The deeper the color the more stagnation is present in that area. Cupping pulls the fascia and helps with remodeling in the case of injuries and scarring. Glide cupping can help immensely with lymph flow as well.
Cupping Therapy

Gua Sha

Sha means "sand" - the coloring or petechiae (pronounced "peteckie-A") that comes to the surface when the tissue is scraped in therapeutic movements. Gua Sha dredges the meridian channels. The practice moves fluids, regulated deep tissue temperature discrepancies, resolves blood stagnation and encourages anti-inflammatory paths.

Qi is our life force. There are 12 main channel systems in the body. Scarring, injuries and stagnant fascia can effect Qi flow and be hot beds for disease, illness and pain. Cupping and Gua Sha can help stabilize and invigorate Qi.

Policies

I understand that unanticipated events occasionally happen in everyone’s life. It is my desire to be effective and fair to all clients. With this consideration I try to be flexible with such circumstances. Generally, these are my guidelines and policies for necessary schedule changes.

Cancellations
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows for me to receive notice of any illness, emergency or schedule conflicts with ample leeway. Please call or text ASAP in order to reschedule or cancel your appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advanced notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full amount of the scheduled session. Out of respect and consideration of your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

No-Shows
If you forget or consciously choose to forgo your appointment for any reason, it is considered  a no-show.  You will be charged in full for your missed appointment.

Tipping
Gratuities NOT accepted. I like to think that we agree on a fee for services and that's that. I consider bodywork an integral part of our self-care routines - I know it's a huge part of mine. I want you to be able to budget your time and money without additional fees. I always appreciate your gratitude and the best way of showing that for my practice is coming back for a session or referring a friend.
