Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) is a very gentle, rhythmic massage that aims to affect your lymphatic system, which lives just under the skin. MLD can be a powerful tool for people whose lymphatic system is compromised from surgery, illness or injury.
Vodder Technique Manual Lymph Drainage is designed to increase the movement of lymph and interstitial fluid back to the cardiovascular system. I received a specific certification (CMLDT) to assist and support the lymph systems.
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and organs that lie beneath the skin, and it’s a critical component of a healthy immune system. In fact, your lymphatic system acts almost like a garbage disposal, helping your body filter out waste and bacteria.
Benefits of MLD
MLD can improve and assist the movement of lymphatic fluid from the body’s tissues into the lymphatic vessels, back to the cardiovascular system, soothe and calm the nervous system, as well as provide pain relief.
